My name is Harleigh and I found my passion for traveling the world in 2019. Since then, I think it is safe to say my wanderlust has never left my side. My goal for this travel blog is to help inspire you to get out and see the world. Overtime I hope to provide you with countless travel guides and tools to guide you on your next adventure.
My journey began when I was a Freshman in college when I spontaneously walked into the International Abroad office at Northern Arizona University. Back in February of 2019, most exchange programs were full for the upcoming semester so I didn’t have many options to choose from. However, one of the few options was a little port town in France called La Rochelle. I took the opportunity and did everything I could in the short time frame I had. After a couple months of hard work I landed in La Rochelle with my Dad on his birthday, September 30th, 2019. It was an emotional day to say the least as I was beyond excited to finally be there. It was a huge relief as the visa process was anything but easy, but if I know one thing, it was worth it. I spent the next six months living a life I dreamed of.
My next adventure began last year in March 2022 where I finished my last semester of my Bachelors at the Universität Konstanz in Germany. This experience gave me some of the best memories I hold today. I went to fifteen different countries in the course of the six months I was there. I met some of the greatest people and friendships that I know will last a lifetime and cherish forever. After some of the best days of my life, I ended up back in my hometown Phoenix Arizona in August, 2022. However, since the moment I landed, I knew my time in Europe wasn’t over.
Now I am currently on my next adventure. This adventure started out by booking a one way ticket back in May, 2023. I had no idea what was going to happen, all I knew was that Austria was calling my name. I am here now experiencing what the world has to offer me and taking each day one day at a time. It has been a rollercoaster, but I am enjoying the ride. After a month into my travels, I received the news that I got into a Masters program at a University in Salzburg, Austria. Since then I have done everything to make this happen and now I start classes this coming Monday. Only time will tell where I end up, but at the end of the day, I am happy where I am now in Salzburg, Austria and can’t wait to see what kind of journey lies ahead.
