Uncertainty

If there’s one thing that has never changed about me, it’s that I try to make sense of everything. I’ve always loved puzzles, even as a kid and to this day, my mind still tries to piece pieces together, especially the broken ones.

One of the most profound realizations I’ve come to is this: sometimes, there’s actually nothing to solve. I’ve learned there’s something beautiful about simply releasing it to God. And if I’m being completely honest, that’s a truth I only began to grasp a few months ago.

Sure, I’ve heard it a million times “Honey, just give it to God and He’ll take care of it,” or “Just pray about it” sayings my grandma repeated to me all throughout my childhood. But the truth is, I never fully trusted the power behind surrendering my worries, doubts, and fears to Him.

Yet through the storm I’ve been walking in, even as I sit here and write, I’ve seen firsthand the goodness and power of what God can do in our uncertain seasons. It’s so true when Scripture says in Hebrews 13:5, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” Especially in our darkest valleys, He is with us, drawing out our new path, moving the pen.

Psalm 23:4 (NIV) “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”

Proverbs 3:5–6 (NIV) says, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight.”
